Qualifications for the positions listed:
Professor/Reader
Candidates must possess good B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from a recognized university and must be registered members of a reputable professional body. A minimum of 10 years of teaching and research experience in an approved tertiary institution is required. Demonstrable ability to initiate, develop and supervise research projects; a good record of scholarly publications in reputable journals. A capacity for academic leadership.
Senior Lecturer
Candidates must possess good B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from a recognized university and must be registered members of a reputable professional body. A minimum of 7 years of teaching and research experience in an approved tertiary institution is required. Demonstrable ability to initiate, develop and supervise research projects; a good record of scholarly publications in reputable journals. A capacity for academic leadership.
Lecturer I
Candidates must possess good B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in relevant fields from a recognized University and must be registered member of a reputable professional body. Candidates must possess cognate experience as Lecturers in approved tertiary institutions. And other requirements in the University on the Niger, Academic Appointment Guidelines.
Lecturer II
Candidates must possess M.Sc. degree in relevant fields from a recognized University and must be registered Members of a reputable professional body Applicants must be undergoing Ph.D. Degree as at the time of application and other requirements in the University on the Niger, Academic Appointment Guidelines.
Candidate shall be God fearing, dedicated and committed to human capacity building and society development.
NOTE:
For Faculties of Basic Clinical Medicine and Clinical Medicine, a candidate in addition to MBBS degree shall possess the Fellowship qualifications of the National Postgraduate Medical College and/or West African Postgraduate Medical College in the various specialties stated. Other additional relevant qualifications will be an added advantage, as well as evidence of scholarly publications. Candidates found appointable shall also perform clinical duties at the university’s teaching hospital facility.
For Faculty of Pharmaceutical Science, a candidate shall specialize in one of the following specialties:
i. Pharmaceutical and Medicinal Chemistry
ii. Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Technology
iii. Pharmacognosy and Herbal Medicines
iv. Pharmaceutical Microbiology and Biotechnology
