ANNOUNCEMENT OF ADMISSIONS INTO THE 2023/2024 ACADEMIC SESSION OF THE UNIVERSITY ON THE NIGER, UMUNYA, ANAMBRA STATE

This is to inform the general public that registration for the Post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (Post-UTME) screening of the University on the Niger shall commence on 1st November, 2023 and end on 31st December, 2023. The University on the Niger is located at KM 13, Onitsha- Enugu Express road, Umunya, Anambra State. The University has the approval of the National Universities Commission (NUC) to run twenty (20) Degree programmes in various faculties, effective from the 2023/2024 academic session

To qualify for admission into any of the programmes, candidates must possess at least five (5) O’Level credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics.

1. Prospective candidates must have sat and obtained a minimum score of 150 in the 2023 JAMB University Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
2. Such candidates must also effect ‘Change of Institution/Course’ to the University on the Niger on the JAMB Portal on or before 31st December, 2023.
3. During registration, candidates are advised to use emails and GSM numbers that are easily accessible to them. This is important for fast and easy communication.
4. Candidates should note that at any point of the screening and admission exercise, if any false information is discovered/noticed, such candidate’s application would be automatically disqualified.

MODE OF PAYMENT AND REGISTRATION PROCEDURE

Eligible candidates are required to pay a processing fee of N2,000 only.

To register, follow the steps outlined below:

• Visit the University website www.uniniger.edu.ng, go to “ADMISSIONS” at the top menu or QUICK LINKS.
• Click on “Apply Now” under the Admission dropdown list.
• Fill the Application Purchase Form and make online payment for the application. (Note: The email you fill in here must be a valid email you have access to, as further information will be sent to you via the email. Also, ensure to recall the password you create on the application form).
• Visit www.uniniger.edu.ng, click on “ADMISSION” and click on “CONTINUE APPLICATION” under the ADMISSION dropdown list to complete your application form, submit, or print your acknowledgement slip (At this stage you will always login with your payment Ref. No. and password to check your admission status).

MODE OF SCREENING
The screening mode for the 2023/2024 academic session PUTME shall be through the process of assessment of JAMB UTME result and verified O’Level result. All candidates are requested to ensure that their O’Level results are uploaded on JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) on or before 31st December, 2023. Any PUTME application without result upload will not be processed.
