Our Campus
University on the Niger campuses are technological and creative playgrounds. UNINIGER campuses create a stunning backdrop for all that happens within the University community.

In all our Campuses, there are extensive laboratories where experts from diverse disciplines are working with innovative technologies to address important issues in science, art conservation, health, energy, and the environment. Scholars from UNINIGER libraries and museums are employing the latest digital imaging technology to conserve UNINIGER vast collections.

Umunya Campus
University on the Niger, Umunya is the main campus of the University. It is located in a vast serene environment, suitable for intensive and undisturbed learning.

The Administrative building of the Institution is located in this Campus. It houses diverse faculties, including the Law Faculty, Faculties of Allied Health Sciences, Science and Computing and Arts, Management and Social Sciences. It is equipped with Laboratories, Libraries and Internet Facilities for unhindered access to the most modern education in the requisite fields. There are spacious hostels for students, with Cafeteria and Space for extracurricular activities.

Iyienu Campus
The Iyienu Campus of the Institution houses the University on the Niger Teaching Hospital. Located in a well populated area, the Teaching Hospital is fully equipped for teaching and learning in the Medical and Pharmaceutical Sciences.

In this Campus, the Faculties of Medicine and Dentistry and the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences are located, with all necessary departmental offices, laboratories and spacious lecture rooms, where experts in these disciplines work with modern innovative technologies to ensure that students of our Institution graduate with the requisite skills and knowledge in the medical and pharmaceutical fields. The Teaching Hospital is a well known hospital with impeccable reputation, well equipped with modern medical equipments that helps to save lives.

The Hostels are spacious and secured, with nice Cafeteria.

Throughout the year, nationally and internationally known architects, architectural scholars, and artists are invited to participate in the School’s weekly lecture series. The series is open to the public and is free of charge.

The School of Art & Science maintains an active program of exhibitions. The Galleries, located on our campuses are open to the public Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, and Saturday, 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

The School supports student-edited publications that is internationally respected for its contributions to contemporary discourse with original presentations of new projects as well as historical and theoretical essays.

The Design Workshop provides a forum for faculty and students from the School of Arts & Science and other professional schools at UNINIGER to engage in the study of issues, ideas, and practical problems in the field of urban design. The Design Workshop has worked with communities across the state, providing planning and design assistance on projects ranging from comprehensive plans, economic development strategies, and community visions to the design.

The student’s responsibility to maintain an accurate course schedule in the Registrar’s Office.

Visual Resources Collection

A student may drop a course, without grade reporting, up to six weeks.
